Here’s a couple of unbelievably strange and weirdly sexy images from my all-time favorite picture book: “Its a Man’s World - Men’s adventure magazines, the postwar pulps” by Adam Parfrey. The perfect birthday gift, my boyfriend loved it. Even though torture, imprisonment, war and death are the main underlying themes you’re probably gonna laugh your head off once you start reading the blurbs on the magazine covers. - And you thought the 80’s were weird… (click any of the thumbnails to open the gallery)

Wow, strange fantasies, but very cool artwork. This “women as victims” theme appears to me as the counterpart to the cool, sexy, adorable Modesty Blaise comics that occasionally got me off in my adolescence years…

I just did a google images search on “modesty blaise” (I had never heard of those books before) and I have to admit she’s pretty hot too
